We pinked it up

Karyn and I held our pink ribbon afternoon tea on Saturday and even though it was quite warm people came and played games, bought raffle tickets and cakes and the pink ribbon merchandise...and we raised $1256.90...and we had only set our goal at $200.

The dog's doing well..had one injury so far...from where the cat scared her and she hit her head and took some fur off.. and she doesn't like being left outside...whether we are here or not...while outside she like to chew on the back door... which reminds me I need to get her a bone..she has 2 soft toys and a rubber bone...which I don't think she's touched.

We ordered a lounge suite through a store that has some lovely furniture.....we were told 4 - 6 weeks..we waited 4 weeks...Mark rang to see how much longer it would be...the guy ummed and arred...alot..and said 'oh another 2 weeks...come and get it on Thursday 23rd' . So Mark finished work early... borrowed a friends trailer...went and emptied it... went to the store to pick it up and it was the wrong colour... we had ordered FERN they had a FAWN one sitting there... Mark was soooo peeved by this time and ripped through them... 10 minutes later someone else was loading it onto their trailer...so it obviously wasn't ours anyway.....They said they could get the lounge suite to us by Saturday...which was no good to me...as we had the pink ribbon arvo on.. so they offered to deliver it to us on Friday...at their cost (of course)..well Mark had work, and I had class so Dave stayed home ...it wasn't delivered til about 2.30pm anyway...I think I missed the guy by about 5 mins... I got home and it was the wrong fucking colour again.... this time it was CHOCOLATE BROWN....!!!!!! don't ask me how you get fucking FERN and CHOC BROWN mixed up ..and we are not alone people ..it happened to someone else... just recently ...they ordered the same colour as us...and got the same colour as us.. so someone at the factory is not doing their job properly..or maybe the fabrics should be marked with not just a colour code but the name of the colour also... that is...if you want to keep your customers happy...good old ....'F in abundance'...thanks alot for your great service.

I'm slighty addicted to a game on Facebook at the moment, you enter a room and play with other Facebookers...it's called 'guess the sketch' .. love it..you take turns in drawing a word that you are given randomly.. and the others try to guess it...you get points for getting it right and the drawer gets points too.. I need to go play it now... :)

introducing 'Snowy'

Her actual name is Snowball but that sounds a bit odd so we are going with Snowy. She's very friendly and quiet... not keen on the cat...nor is that cat keen on her...hopefully with time..

She lay on the back seat of the car all the way home with her head on Emily's lap... with the occasional fluff ...(smelly dog).

I hate it when I can't think of a title for a post

A group of us went to see Mark Seymour on Sunday at the Waterfront Cafe, it's a great place for a Sunday afternoon.... had a great time. Unfortunately they didn't sell many tickets this time so it'll be awhile till Mark comes back...me sad.

We soooo need a decent camera...


In a few weeks we are going to an Eagles tribute at the waterfront cafe also, it's good because you can take your own nibblies in...and just have to buy your drinks.

Tomorrow we are going to G.A.P. to see about a dog they have matched us up with...her name is Snowball....she looks cute.

We have some great items to use as prizes for our pink ribbon afternoon on Saturday, just have to organize the food now.

Our little visitor

A card I made for my niece for her baby shower which was on Sunday.
She got some gorgeous things, and we ate some yummy food.


Sunday while Em and I were at the baby shower, Eric went to his mates place and bought this home....they found it on the school oval. Em became so attached to it over night...I didn't think it was a great idea to keep it...we have a cat, a bird and are on the waiting list for a dog...that to me is PLENTY.
So I took it to the vet and they were going to send it off to the pound but assured me someone would taker her home, cos she is just sooooo damn cute.


While she was here Em called her Tinker.. look ...isn't she gorgeous !!

Got a phone call this morning and don't have to go to class Thursday or Friday which works out well... cos Friday I'm going to Paperific, Saturday got to catch up with Karyn and go over everything for next weekend, Sunday we are going to see Mark Seymour and Monday Jess and Jarrod move house....hoping it ain't hot.

30 years

It's been 30 years since Mad Max was filmed and this morning we went to have a look at some replica cars and bikes ...there were bus tours...t-shirts, stubbie holders, stickers and posters to purchase... There were a few actors there also....no Mel Gibson wasn't there...but I believe his stuntman was.

Mark got his poster signed by Emil Minty who played the feral kid in Mad Max 2.

The one above must have just had some paint work done on it...you could still smell it and it looked quite fresh.

Not sure whether this was in MM..was it...does anyone know?

nice paint job though....ohhhh and Kathryn... there was a Mustang in the carpark too... :)

Loads of bikes and hotted up cars everywhere...it was worth the visit.

F'd up pink kit

Well I got my parcel for our pink ribbon day, but this is how it arrived, don't you just LOVE couriers...thanks soooo much to the dude who left this on our door step.... minus the pens that were supposed to be in it.. I'm not saying he took them, just that they are not in the box.

I've emailed and faxed to say that the pens were missing and attached the photos to the email....Hope the delivery mob get a kick up the ass.

Mark used to be a courier so I know that they really don't give a crap about the stuff they deliver...boxes get kicked and thrown around.

On a brighter side...I did score a gift voucher from the pet shop and $10 worth of lollies for our guessing game.from another shop and the local baker is donating pink iced donuts.

Just read the newspaper...how weird is this guy does he not have anything better to do than to search for children to photograph and creep everyone out...what a fucking creap...and what the hell was that principal thinking.

ohh and here's a bit of excitement for you....(not)...it's international customer service week... whoo hoo.

Just had word that we are getting a donation that takes us to our half way goal... We only set our goal at $200...because it's our first pink ribbon event and didn't know what to set it at.

Nest weekend we are going to a Mad Max 30 years anniversary event...there will be replica cars, bikes and some actors... a bus tour that takes you to places where some scenes were shot.. You can go for a ride in a pursuit car...and watch some deleted scenes from the movie.

Also my niece is having her baby shower....not too sure what I'm getting her as yet...there are soooo many cute baby things that she still needs..

Kids are back at school tomorrow..and I've still got one assignment to do..which shouldn't take me that long.

Mark is changing jobs...still in the same line of work..but different company... better hours....same pay.

A drunken friend grabbed Marks butt the other night and as he tried to move away from her...he burnt his stomach on the bbq.....ooops....I'm not sure what he thinks was worse...the ass grabbing or the burn...lmao..
