My niece Jessyca wrote this and it went into the book we made for Mums service yesterday.
You are the trunk of the tree that we grew from
Your strength holds through high winds that blow
Whipping up through the tall tree branches
Which nestle new twigs sprouting growth
You are the one that binds us together
You are the one who helped us all grow
Now you’ve left us a strong foundation
So as long as no branch is dropped or lets go
So now the branches should all hold together
Shelter each other from the cold winds that blow
And each new branch should know where it came from
The strong trunk from which we all grew.
