Mark and I went to a wedding on Saturday in Ballarat. The couple were married on their property (gum trees all around) it was lovely...they had a handfasting and we were all given bottles of bubble s to blow...it looked great... back at the reception the tables were covered in gum leavves...the smell that kept wafting up ... was amazing.The bride and her mother cleaned and painted all the little ceramic wombats... (80 of them) and little hats for the guys and shoes for the girls...which took them over 8 months to complete.
The bridesmaids wore blue and silver. the chairs had either a blue or silver ribbon around them... the whole reception looked beautiful.
The food was yummo...we had either vegie or chicken and corn soup, turkey or lamb, cheesecake or chocolate mousse.
