Day 2 of out challenge...all going well so far..lol.. except for the 2 litres of water.. just can't quite manage it yet.

booze brain

* groan* the feeling that alcohol gives you the day after a fun night.. I spent most of yesterday in bed with the room spinning endlessly around me, making me want to barf everytime I moved.
I haven't drank so much in such a long time...I don't actually think that I have drank that much...I'm saying noo never again will I drink that much..but hey...next year I'm 40 and I intend to hit the top of that hill with a bang ... I don't really want to do that much suffering again in a hurry if I can help it.

Today is the first day of our 70 day weight loss challenge... I've weighed in and measured up...I need to go down and use Karens treadmill...for awhile..and make a start on my water intake..that's gong to be hard..

Marks b'day on Saturday and we have both our families coming over...not sure what we are doing food wise as yet...better get my ass into gear I spose.

It's been chilly the last few mornings..but then sort of warming up during the day..but it's sooo much better than heat...

There was something else I was gong to blog about but can't remember ATM..

Got a party to go to tonight at a friends...I've made her a chocolate penis...shhh don't tell! ..... I've put it in a cellophone bag and then in a patterned paper bag that I just made and tied it with ribbon...she's gonna die..lol

I just made pizza in my non stick pan.. but I should have added a little salt to the base.. otherwise it wasn't bad....I put ham, salami, tomato, feta, baby spinach and mushrooms on it.

Woke up this morning with a sore throat and swollen glands..seems to have eased off a bit now..Mark felt a bit bleah too..so may be a viral thing..oh joy.

I'm thinking I might need to go and have a nanna nap before the party..

can you tell I'm not thinking straight..I'm all over the place

my alcoholic intake

was 2 drinks.... (cruisers) then I stuck to lemonade and coffee...I was the designated driver last night ...we went to Marks nieces 18th...she was plastered...lol..she would have fallen face first into her cake had Marks sister not have been holding her back..

Mark had quite a bit to drink and thankfully fell asleep on the drive home...cos boy was he painful..we got home and then more or less decided to go to bed...Mark was still in the car sleeping.. so I thought I'd do the right thing and go and say something like ...'are you coming inside we are all going to bed'.. his reply was ' no fuck off' and he shut the door and went back to sleep.. so off I trotted..to my comfy warm bed and left him to his car. when I woke up this morning I wondered if he managed to get inside ...he had.. he was asleep on the couch.
Needless to say he's been suffering all day...and has recieved no sympathy from me.

Em and I just made a huge batch of sausage rolls of which I forgot about the last lot... that I just got out of the oven... they're not burnt ..but brown...

Today would have been Mums 80th birthday .
hard to believe she's been gone almost 2 years.

I hadn't bought any mags for ages, but bought 2 mags the other day an English one 'card makers year book' (might get some ideas for cards from here) and 'scrapbooks etc'.

Yesterday I went to Marks nieces to a Flaschengeist party, where you sample different liqueurs and spirits. they also had some wines (we didn't' sample these) and some oils and vinegars there was one that was very nice but it's not on the list I have...it was something caramelised...mmm.. and on a sheet of paper mark the ones you like as you try them, then at the end you choose which one/s you want to buy and then you have to choose what type of bottle you want it in.
Some of the samples were not great..but then everyones tastes differ..huh !!

I thought the strawberry schnapps was ok...but might get a little sickly as milk drinks do.
Vodka lemon lime daiquri was ok
I didn't try the Blackcurrant vodka, Fig & vodka liqueur, chocolate tawny port nor the lychee liqueur (after watching the faces of the girls sitting opposite us...lol..they said it tasted like flowers)

Mango liqueur and the melon liqueur (which was like Midori) were nice

Wasn't keen on Limoncello, cognac and walnut liqueur (sort of tasted like nutella), turkish delight liqueur, tiramisu liqueur, coffee nut whip liqueur and chocolate vodka. (very fake choc taste IYKWIM)

You are probably going to say 'eww' when I tell you what I've ordered...I thought the same thing till I tasted them... whisky liqueur with a double shot of caramel (got this in a heart shaped bottle 250 ml) and honey brandy (the bottle is called 'sonata' 110ml) which you can see here. I'm not a brandy drinker normally...it usually makes me go...'hurgggg' but this was very smooth.

If I don't drink them myself ...I will look very smart anyway when I offer you a drink of whisky with a double shot of caramel or a honey brandy !!!...they are dearer than a normal bottle shop... and not as much in quantity..but you have to kind of expect that at a party plan I think....I only spent $40.

ooh I did love the round 'O' shaped bottle called 'odyse' but it was out of stock.

ooh I've been invited to join a group run by a friend for a 70 day challenge.
I think we are taking before and after shots and will do meaurements and weights. I'm not dieting as such... because I know I won't stick to it...so I will go back to the plan of picking 5 -6 things and sticking to it.

I hosted a Stampin Up workshop on Friday night thanks Melissa for coming all the way over here...thanks to the ladies that attended ...I think everyone had a nice time..anyways this is what we made..(the scans are dodgy again )



I stuck mine down differently than eveyone else... of course !!


This is a bonus thing we made..it's a little bookmark.. which I also did differently than everyone else..

Golly...there are party plans everywhere at the moment... I went to another chefs toolbox party...ordered the timer (cos our oven one is busted) and the utensils for my pot.....they cooked a pizza in the saute pan...and it was yummo..maybe the base was a little thick..but it was still nice.. not too keen on the jam doughnuts cooked in the muffin tray. ...they looked like scones with jam in the centre..

The same day I went to a jewellery party (Emma page) at Debs place and bought (a little regretfully) a silver neclace with a heart on it.....yes I'm sometimes a sucker at partys...

Em and I went off to our LSS on Saturday morning and made these little clip boards.. they had a free make and take as part of their birthday celebrations....the folding was quite fiddly and at one point I completely screwed mine up and had to get a new piece of paper. (once it was folded it was too short to fit on the clipboard)

After the make and takes raffle tickets were given out and mine was the first drawn out....whoo hooo...then you wouldn't believe it...Em's was drawn out...whoo hoo again... we both won some 'Fancy Pants Design' felt shape packs

I got the book written by Mark Seymour....very good read so far.

We have our table booked for his gig down our way ...which isn't for a few more months yet....we got front and centre ...yessssssssssssss.!! A friend thinks I'm a bit obsessed, but mind you she's coming to the gig too..lol
