Funeral is tomorrow for Marks work mate....unsure of whether I'm going.... starts at 2.30....over the other side of Melbourne.... so have to organize something for Em.... if I do go..

Went to Avoca yesterday... to see S&G's new house..... had a late tea...and some drinks...when Mark gets a messege saying that one of his work mates had just died... ..the guys nephew was cvery upset on the phone...asking Mark to come and see him..... we were like 3+ hours away...and had been drinking... still waiting for more details on this...so far we've heard 2 stories....

Nothing much else happening...

valentines day huh

So it's valentines day.......who got some flowers or a card.....NOT ME....although I don't really care... I'd love an anniversary card more so...

Emily made my coffee and some toast this morning....she was going to put jam on it....but I wasn't in a jammy mood... she cut a heart in one slice....how cute !!

I've been scrapping again... 'Just Married' is my brother and his wife.... way back in 97 ...when they got married...the other page is their daughter Bronwyn... photo taken in Sept 06 ...before they moved the USA...

valentines ATCs

I made some valentines ATC's for 'scrapping the scraps'...totally forgot that it was my turn to do a challange !!!!

Not alot else happening... I popped into Emily Falconbridges blog....after reading about it on someone elses blog....(for the life of me I can't think who's)....she's using playing cards....and decorating them accordingly... to what ever the prompt is.. one a week for 52 weeks.. thought I'd give it a go... I started late....so have some catching up to do.... will post them once I've caught up.

For tea....I'm making 'chicken, avocado and camembert salad' mmmm I had this for lunch yesterday ...the only thing I'm missing is the cashew nuts...... (drool)

which was quite funny...as the got on..... David was out holdding a torch so they could see...I was standing near the ladder and mark kept passing the drill down to me.... yelling 'drill girl'... so I was then known as drill girl... I affectionately called him 'wanker' Sean thought his name would be 'wanker 2' but seeing he was up holding the beams.... I called him 'beam boy'..... so there we were .... newly formed caped crusaders... well ... carport builders/helpers...

jab for the kitty

I took the kitten for her first needle yesteday....

she was very brave..... :)

but .....today she is very cranky and sore... she hasn't eaten or even drank any water and it's quite warm outside....

and also here we have day 9 which is under our back porch... looking toward the front yard..

day 10 is... from the bottom of our driveway...looking up...

I was laying on the ground when I took this...most embarrasing when the next door neighbours pulled up their driveway tooting at me...lmao

Went to Angies last night ....didn't scrap...just sat and chatted......ok and shopped... :)

Mark and 2 BiL's are out building our carport ATM.... must remember to keep them watered....can't have the workers passing out from dehydration...and yes I've just fed them and will cook them a roast for tea.

I've been doing a few LO's... (a double page one) 'a look back at 2006' ' Em's 10th birthday' and now I'm working on one...for a KSK challange the theme is 'love'

We find out tomorrow at assembly wether Eric gets in as captain or vice captain....

Used calico, stamped on it.... cut it up.... a bit of glue, a few stiches, a brad ...a flower sequin with a brad centre... a bit of ribbon, a few staples

Will be interesting to see what the other girls come up with.

It was another hot day here today.... I hid inside all day reading my 'simple scrapbooks' mag...and some more of 'to kill a mocking bird'

Eric is running for school captain this year...he's hoping to get vice captain at least...

Ok I'm late with potd 3 ... which is showing some of my rings...

a friendship ring that Mark gave me when we were 19... my celtic heart ring....and a ring that was Mums... I wear these rings everyday..

then potd 4....is me.... ta da...

spent the afternoon at the pool with the kids...got home.... made tea and some muffins...

Bought the Herald Sun today and it had a disc with it.... with the first episode of 'house' for this season...which I missed ...so yay.. and first episode of 'the biggest loser' and 'teenage boot camp'??? I think thats what it's called...

Photo of the day for yesterday...my computer and coffee.... I get online everymorning with my coffee to check emails and the forums.

I think the automatic air freshener thingys we have going.... are what is affecting my throat...when I wen to bed last night...I just could not breathe... I kept coughing... so I slept in the lounge...might have to dump the sprays I think..??

Another hot day here.... hoping that tonight turns out like last night....we are going for a bbq at friends house....so that nice breeze would be great.

I've been playing around with my 'fabric' ATC's....really not looking all that great.... and the sewing lessons...pah...so I'm sewing a little by hand...

Really need to sit and do some more reading....as I'm expecting 2 more novels in the post during the week... from the BB book circle... gulp...

Was looking at the new HS stamps the other day...online... NOICE !!!!! I think I'll need some of those.. yep yep yep.

This weeks theme is 'all about me/my style'

I heard today on the radio.....that Girlfriend magazine....is the first magazine...(I think Australia wide...) is the first magazine....to use 100% recycled paper.... which apparently saves 250 trees per issue...!!!!

and....they say its cheaper for them to use...anyways... well done to them I say.. not that I buy this mag mind you...but... lets hope other mags follow suit.

Ohh and today...I'm having a sewing lesson...lol

Ok yay.... I've finished and posted my 'c' atc's.... I used mini playing cards on them...
The LO is of 2 of my nieces singing on sing star Christmas 2005... lol... only just scrapped it now...
The next 2 photos are of the shoe box erics shoes came in...and his shoes.... check out the box..... its got a battery on it with a line through it... NO BATTERIES REQUIRED??????? lmao...

and oooh look I down loaded Picasa.... still got to figure out everything it does...

on LOVE...tried scanning it also...but it was bleah...it's using a Collections bodice thingy... which I've stamped over with white ink... wrapped black ribbon around ...attached a silver heart charm ...the writing is all using AC rubons...
And.... guess what... I'm almost finished my 'C' ATC's (will upload when finished)......geez I'm slack...and the next theme is 'inspired by fabric'.. ooh I really need to learn how to drive the sewing machine...

Listen.....to the quiet.......the kids are all back at school.....ahhhh peace...

I should not have looked

after reading a few posts .....about all the new stuff being released that people are drooling over....thought I was missing out...so went and had a bit of a look see......bad move....lol

Queen & Co - how cute are the mini heart and flower brads and the big round brads (black & white and pink and white !!!!!!!) ....and gotta agree with Jess...the felt ribbon...it's so NOICE....and Kathryn it's in PURPLE (tempt tempt) and the bold sequins look cool too.

Autumn Leaves- how cool is the 'Accomplish' overlay and those 'elegant flourish' clear stamps !!



I'm feeling a wee bit crap....with a sore throat and a yucky tickley cough...and my head feels like its cotton wooly...bleah..

Went out with the boys today to get shoes for school....$50 for one pair....$100 for the other pair....with a free bag mind...lol..

Finally got the last of Davids pens...a pencil case, some shorts ...I gave in after losing two bids on ebay and ringing the local 2nd hand book stores.... we went into Angus and Robertsons and bought a copy of ' to kill a moking bird' for Dave .....and magazines for me ' Simple scrapbooks Better Photos' and Januarys copy of 'Memory Makers'

Also been working on something that I won't put up yet as its for Scrapping the scraps...

Off to get hair cuts tomorrow......and lunchy type stuff...and that should be it..
