what a night

Last night we went to the Espy Hotel in St Kilda to see Mark Seymour....it was for a DVD recording... and at $10 entry...how could you not have a freakin' fantastic night...!! Doors opened at 7 and I'm so glad I booked tickets and that we jumped in the queue when we did... 'cos we got up the front..and I'm guessing it was a full house or near enough ..
The band came on about 7.30 and didn't finish til about 10.30ish.
I only had my dodgy little canon powershot so the pics I took aren't too crash hot...(the one below is the best I got.).

We met some of the other forum goers.. one from the US....some from Brissie
Len and Toni ( both from the MS forum) had their cameras and got some fabulous shots can't wait to see what they put up...

It was a fantastic night... !!

Nothing much been happening, I went and paid the deposit for the anaesthetist and the money for the hospital room yesterday...$558 ...it's bullshit huh.

Saw the cutest pair of Cons for Emily they were light pink and silver with skulls all over them... but I'm a bit of a scab..and don't want to pay $100...lol but I did buy myself a new bag...its so cute and summery..and a pair of Vans that are hot pink and white for Em they were only $25 ..bargain..!

Today I better go do some groceries, so that there is food in the house as I don't think I'll feel like doing it later in the week..my gums are gonna be a wee bit swollen and sore me thinks

Took a trip to DFO in Essendon today...boy was that a waste of time and petrol.
The stores had absolutely nothing in them...and what they did have I dont' think was really all that freaking cheap.
Maybe I've been spoilt by going to the surf sales down this way.. I did however spend $30 on a t-shirt that I found for David.... and JB...which is just a normal JB store I bought a few dvds and a cd for Eric..and that was only to make it seem worth the 40 minute drive there..lol

Yesterday I spent the day watching 'Steve O' clips on youtube...boy what a messed up guy he is...funny as though and I think he's great...but really needs to lay off the drugs and booze for awhile maybe.

ohhh spent the day at the hospital today for no freakin' reason...Eric hurt his arm at school last week...and after riding the motorbikes yesterday he said his arm was aching soooo off we went ...sat there for about 4 hrs... (including seeing the dr and getting xray) only to find out it was sprained.

We picked Sofi up at 6 pm yesterday ....she was sooooo pissed off, hissing and growling at everyone, the poor baby.

I made her a bed up in the laundry out of any draughts (normally she'll sleep on someones bed ) and so as she'd be close to her water and litter tray.

This morning I gave her a little food...and put an old doona in front of one of the lounge windows where the sun comes through....she layed there for ages until Mark started up the motorbike then she hid under the crystal cabinet.

She goes back in 10 days to have the stitches removed.

I do feel a little sad about the fact that she was pregnant (3 wks) but the vet assured me it was for the best ...and said because of Sofi's size she would have had a hard time giving birth...maybe would have even needed a caesarean...which would have been awful not to mention pricey..

So now Sofi has a micro chip , tattoo and a scar...and a few bald patches (foreleg and flank)

Have been thinking about the picture of the card I posted the other day...

Sofi went in to the vet this morning to be desexed...the vet just rang me to say they'd finished with her...but that her wound is a little bigger than it would have been...because she was actually pregnant.... I'm actually sitting here with tears in my eyes at the moment..I find it a little sad, but the vet said it would be worrying if Sofi was to give birth 'cos she's only a small cat...she'll need a little more love and care... I can pick her up about 6ish tonight...poor kitty..

OMG it's been so windy outside now and over night. A tree blew down just a few houses away... and of course it was bin night .... the recycle bins have been blowing over all over the place... I've been outside picking the darn things up and putting bricks on the lids and chasing rubbish down the street.. the wind is freeezing...
I just heard on the radio that 2 walls have blown down in the our area....crazy !!

Emily has gone back to school today after having 3 days off with a cough and temperature...she kindly shared those germs with Mark...who is now as sick as a dog...he hasn't smoked for 3 days !!
He says it feels like he's broken some ribs from coughing.

Eric fell at school on Monday (insert me rolling my eyes here) and landed on his arm, this time his right arm. ..It seems fine...he must have just jarred it..thank goodness.

We are going out for tea tonight with a friend (Karyn) and her 3 kids...will be nice not to have to cook and worry about the dishes.

Ohhhhh and Mark Seymour has another acoustic album 'Titanic' coming out ....you can pre order at JB Hi Fi online....love his acoustic albums.

Yesterday I was a bit norty and had a bit of a spend up... hee hee I bought myself some new clear stamps.... information one -fontwerks, some mini alpha's- sassafras lass, they look cute stamped stitches - fontwerks cos I can't drive the sewing machine..lol

Also called into Rays Tent City... to look at their esky's... we saw a big one in the Big W catalogue for $125 ( i think) ....in Rays the same size was about $20 dearer....but by the time I drove to the nearest Big W anyways... I would have only saved about $10....but....using Marks 'Rays discount card' I ended up only paying $112 .. He's going to love it.. it's one of those ones on wheels with the pull along handle.
It's going to be great for when we go camping again...and just to put booze and meat in for bbqs...
This is his Fathers day pressie...as well as what ever the kids find at the Fathers day stall at school today.

Finally got some photos of the caravan. The first is to your left as you walk in the door (there used to be a table here, which lowered and you made it into a bed) Mark has made slats that fit in here and the cushions are used as the matress as before.

the second shot is where the fridge and sink used to be.Mark made the shelving and then Daves tv unit and cd rack and a heater were put in.The third photo is where 2 single beds used to be Mark made a queen size frame ..we bought a new matress and bedding

The blue cushion covers and curtains were made by one of our friends..The walls are painted in Mocha Magic (which in some light looks grey)

Arms, teeth and feasting

Eric has his cast off and looks like his arm has healed well...the doctor did say if there is any pain to come straight back...so far so good.. :)

I'm working on a new banner for my blog ATM...which I'm also going to turn into a page for my BoM... A few people have done new banners lately and I love Ngaires new banner ...which prompted me to do mine.

I went to the dentist and picked up a script for some antis which seem to be working the pain is less blinding...mind you I have been taking nur**en plus...which makes me want to sleep and after taking 2 last night while at a friends for tea...and having 1 cruiser...I was feeling pretty mellow...lol

Got some photos developed yesterday ..some are to be used for my ATC's..one for a LO that I started awhile ago and have been waiting to get this photo done so now I can finish it..yay.

Anyways today I'm off to look at pc tablets and a small chest freezer.

There are 5 of us..I wash almost every day, if not every 2nd day... I wait till I have a full load or nearlly a full load.. (water restrictions aplpy) I was light colours togther, darks together, and then a load of towels, sheets/doona covers are washed as a seperate load too, tea towels I like to wash in hot water with a bit of pine o clean & detergent (something I picked up from mum)

Just read this...on cats in heat...I think I'm going to vomit.

Sofi has returned much to her disgust...I've just been reading up...on what a cat goes through while its in heat....and if I'd have realized how much discomfort it was going to cause for her and the sleep that we are losing due to a certain very nice looking male cat circling our house....meowing at every window all night... and OMG the neighbours...what must they think..

So now my question is....if she does become pregnant....how long after she gives birth do we wait to get her desexed....and how long after giving birth will she go into heat again?
Cancel those quetions....I just googled and found that she can go into heat again 3 weeks after giving birth....and we can't get her desexed until the kittens are weaned....so as cute as the wittle kittens would have been I say "NO KITTY, NO SEX FOR YOU" It would have been an experience for the kids to see ....but I'm not prepared to go through all this mating crap again....

Mostly I think it's to do with respect...alot of people these days have no respect...esp for the elderly ...they won't give up seats on buses and trains for the elderly or even pregnant women...I just think that is so rude

I've got a

scrap room (I'm not in there yet it needs painting)....this was Erics room...who is now in Davids room...who is now in the caravan in the backyard...

I'm finding it a little strange...him being out there..especially the other night it was pouring with rain and sooo windy... I stood at our back door looking down at the caravan... it was very sad...lol

We've just gone looking at a Queen size bed that we've been offered for Emily...$100 (2nd hand) but its in really good nick...and we know the people we are buying it from....its a 4 post cast iron one and they are even giving us PINK curtains to go with it..!

Eric has Daves old double bed which isn't even 12mths old so he's happy.

Now all I have to do is buy Em a bigger doona and doona cover....geez...
